She was involved in the care and treatment of the University's athletes and area high school athletes as well as involved with treatment of general orthopedic patients. Her area of concentration with athletics and orthopedics continued and eventually she added licensure as a Certified Athletic Trainer to further her background in sports medicine. Early in her practice, Lisa had the opportunity to expand her practice of orthopedics and sport medicine to include treatment in the area of Women's Health. She received specialized training in the area of Women's Health which included the treatment of pregnancy and postpartum issues, painful intercourse, bladder and bowel dysfunctions, prolapses and osteoporosis conditions. This training, added to the in-depth knowledge of orthopedics, quickly became her passion and to further expand her knowledge base, Lisa joined a large OB/GYN clinic in Oklahoma City. This practice location allowed for an expansive educational environment including daily exposure to surgeries, physician procedures and evaluations, hospital/inpatient care, bone density scans, and many post surgical conditions associated with OB/GYN and Uro/GYN practices. This environment solidified her passion for Women's Health specialties and she continues to focus on this area of practice along with General Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
I completed my undergrad at Westminster College and received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Missouri in 2017. I was honored to receive the Marilyn K Sanford award for clinical excellence. My areas of experience are pelvic health, orthopedics, and pediatrics. After the birth of my first child, I fully realized how important pelvic health treatment is and what a dramatic difference it makes. I am passionate about helping patients overcome incontinence issues, pelvic pain, painful intercourse, painful pregnancy, post-partum, and the other issues associated with the pelvic floor.
